Sergeant with applied blue border, North German / Schorborn around 1780

Tall schnapps glass / Wachtmeister (sergeant) made of colorless glass, slender shape, cylindrical hollow stem with a pierced air bubble, tall flared bowl with fused blue glass threads, raised round foot with a chipped rim and some contamination. The Wachtmeister is intact. North German / probably from the Princely Glassworks at Schorborn, circa 1780-90. Height: approx. 13.3 cm, diameter: approx. 6.7 cm.
