Vase of opaque white glass with an intermediate layer of pink opaline glass and a colorless overlay; club-shaped body with a constricted cylindrical neck and flared rim. The body features fine painted decoration in polished gold and silver, including an oval medallion with rocaille motifs, scrollwork, and a floral band set between polished gold stripes; the fire-polished rim is accented with polished gold, and the base is polished and features a pontil mark. Small chip on the lower rim, fine scratches on the body, and small inclusions. France or Silesia, second half of the 19th century. Height: approx. 30.0 cm.
