Trumpet-shaped vase with a depiction of birds, Haida technical school, Joh. Oertel around 1920

Vase made of colorless glass, trumpet-shaped hollow base with faceted walls, funnel-shaped, multi-faceted cup with four raised medallions, these with backed black solder and cut depictions of birds and foliage glazed orange-yellow, surrounding decorative frieze, gilded edge of the foot and mouth. Vase is in intact condition. Design for the Haida technical school, execution and sales by Joh. Oertel around 1920-30. Height: approx. 13.5 cm, diameter: approx. 9.8 cm.
