Heavy footed cup made of colorless glass with gold ruby overlay around 1835

Footed cup made of colorless, thick-walled glass with gold ruby overlay, multi-pass roller-cut foot merging into a faceted shaft, barrel-shaped, multi-faceted cup with high-cut, stone-set, drop-shaped fields and arches in fourfold repeat, visible side with ligature monogram KR, lip edge beveled inwards. Cup is in undamaged condition with small inclusions in the glass mass. Russia or Bohemia, Meyrsche Hütten around 1835-40. Height: 14.0 cm, diameter: approx. 9.0 cm.
