Pair of very large vases with enamel painting, Legras & Cie., Mont Joye, around 1899

A pair of large vases made of colorless glass, underlaid in violet from top to bottom. The large, club-shaped body on a round base with a curved, tubular neck. The satin-finished body is painted with floral tendrils in gold and enamel. The fused rim is speckled with gold. The underside of the base features a dislocated tear and a numbered number. The vases are in undamaged condition; the body shows signs of wear. Legras & Cie., Verreries de Saint-Denis, circa 1899. Height: approx. 40.0 cm, diameter: approx. 30.0 cm.
