Pair of handle vases / amphoras with lids made of colorless glass, rising round base with decoration of polished gold painting, base with chipped tear, short shaft, bulbous body with cylindrical neck and attached ear handles, warmed and gilded vase rim, wall with surrounding floral polished gold painting, below the gilded vase rim one Star border, bell-shaped lid with handle decorated appropriately. Vases are in intact condition, 1 lid is defective. Spain, Segovia (San Ildefonso), late 18th century, early 19th century, Real Fábrica de Vidrio and Cristal de La Granja - glass factory, founded in 1727. Height: approx. 29.0 and 31.5 cm, diameter: approx. 18.0 cm. Lit: The royal glass factory in La Granja, near the royal palace of the Spanish King Philip V, specialized in simple, hand-blown shapes made of colorless glass, decorated with simple cuts and gold leaf.
