Vase made of colorless glass, solid base, slightly curved, cylindrical body with wave-shaped line decoration, visible side with partially polished engraving of two female nudes as a 'day and night' allegory, with diamond cracks in places, below the image in engraving inscribed: AL in a circle, fused vase rim, base dislocated. Vase is in good condition. The vase was designed by Václav Plátek around 1948-49, cut / engraving by Alfred Oppitz-Lorenc. Probably made by the Egermann-Exbor glassworks, around 1960. Height: approx. 31.0 cm, diameter: approx. 13.2 cm. Lit: Alfred Oppitz was taught engraving by Emil Kromer and Fritz Gläser and worked as an engraver for Lobmeyr's nephew Stefan Rath in Steinschönau.
