Rooster jug with enameled coat of arms, Fritz Heckert / van Hauten around 1885

Jug made of colorless glass, glazed pink and slightly lustered. Flattened body with round base with enamelled row of dots, attached square handle. On the front there is a large painted enameled coat of arms with a helmet ornament and a rooster. Heavy tin gear in the shape of a rooster's head. Jug is in intact condition. Glass body made by Fritz Heckert in Petersdorf, metal fittings by van Hauten in Bonn around 1880-90. Height: approx. 29.5 cm.
