French milk glass vase with burnished gold painting, circa 1780–90

Opaque white glass vase with a baluster-shaped body, curved shoulder, and tubular neck; the body features continuous burnished gold decoration depicting blossoms and an Empire-style floral frieze, while a floral swag border with small stars and blossoms encircles the area below the gilded rim; gilded foot rim. The vase is in excellent condition. France, circa 1780–90; height: approx. 20.0 cm.
