Narrow-necked jug made of transparent, olive-green, thick-walled glass, mold-blown and free-formed, iridescent under steam, spherical, optically twisted body with a recessed circular base and raised bottom, tubular neck with a surrounding decorative band and flared, spherical spout, attached, ribbed, double-folded band handle, the bulbous body with six applied berry appliques, underside of the base with a pontil mark.The jug is in perfect condition.This type of glass was manufactured by the Josephinenhütte glassworks based on designs of drawings of Roman, Frankish, and medieval glasses in the Mainz Museum for the Ludwig Fellmer company in Mainz.
