Axehead vase by Mdina Glass, Malta, signed by Joseph Said, 1973.

Narrow-necked vase of colorless, thick-walled glass; the body is laterally flattened into an axe-like shape, featuring light blue and turquoise oxide inclusions and a textured surface. Polished base signed "Mdina Glass 1973" along with the artist's signature. Original adhesive label on the body. The vase is in excellent condition. Produced by the Mdina glassworks in Malta based on a design by Michael Harris; executed circa 1976 by Joseph Said (after Eric Dobson) and signed. Height: approx. 21.8 cm; diameter: approx. 20.5 cm.
