Vase made of white opal glass with royal blue overlay, conical body with constricted neck and slightly flared and fused rim, wall with architectural ornaments alternating with Rococo decor and ornamental borders in burnished gold painting and iron red enamel, base with tear. Vase is in undamaged condition, gold painting rubbed in places. Probably Russia, 2nd half of the 19th century, height: approx. 18.5 cm, diameter: approx. 11.5 cm. Lit: Comparable vases of this type were also made by Moser in Karlovy Vary, the Riedel company in northern Bohemia, the Josephinenhütte in Schreiberhau (with painting by Johann Roman Tichy) and by Baccarat and St. Louis.
