Black vase with patinated surface in Scavo technique, Seguso Vetri d'Arte

Very large footed bowl made of black-violet glass, rising round base, double-conical shaft with ribbed nodus, large flat-troughed bowl, surface using the scavo technique. Foot shell is in a healthy condition. Seguso Vetri d'Arte around 1970. Height: approx. 32.0 cm, diameter: approx. 47.8 cm. Lit: During production, a mixture of different powders (carbonates, nitrates, talcum, silica, etc.) is applied to the glass surface and heated at 800 degrees Celsius.
