Cup made of colorless glass, disc base with tear-off and downward folded edge, a pierced air column in the faceted baluster shaft, above it a faceted nodus, conical cup at the base with pointed arch facets, the visible side with a matt-cut, partly bleached coat of arms of Friedrich Wilhelm I of Prussia, the soldier king, fused and matted lip edge with dot decoration. Cup is in intact condition, with scratch marks and limescale deposits on the inside of the cup. Thuringia or Altmündener Hütte around 1730-40. Height: approx. 22.0 cm. Lit: Friedrich Wilhelm I of the House of Hohenzollern (1688 - 1740) was King of Prussia, Margrave of Brandenburg and Elector of the Holy Roman Empire from 1713 until his death.
