Pair of narrow-necked vases made of marbled opal glass / onyx glass, Loetz around 1880-90

Pair of vases made of white opal glass, covered with red-brown veined colorless glass, blown into the shape, club-shaped body with tubular neck, below the mouth an ornamental frieze in gold and colorful relief enamel. Foot edge with gilded frieze. Vase is in intact condition, upper gold rim is heavily rubbed. Johann Loetz Wwe., Klostermühle, onyx glass around 1888-90. Height: approx. 32.5 cm. Lit.: J. Mergl; E.
