Small pitcher made of transparent, olive-green, thick-walled glass, mold-blown and free-formed, iridescent under steam, spherical, optically ribbed body with a recessed rounded base, tubular neck with a trefoil-shaped, attached strap handle, applied glass thread at the neck, underside with a chipped edging.The pitcher is in intact condition.This type of glass was produced by the Josephinenhütte glassworks for the Ludwig Fellmer company in Mainz, based on designs derived from drawings of Roman, Frankish, and medieval glass in the Mainz Museum.Josephinenhütte, Schreiberhau, Opal-Cyprus Glass Series, circa 1881-1900, shape 9258.
