Tall studio glass vase with opaque white thread inlays, Richard Price

Vase made of colorless glass with transparent orange inner rim and opaque white, drawn thread melts in the intermediate layer, ovoid body with warmed vase rim, polished and matte base with ligature monogram RP. Vase is in undamaged condition. Studio Richard Price, Amsterdam, Netherlands. Height: approx. 34.0 cm, diameter: approx. 16.0 cm. Lit.: Clementine Schack von Wittenau, New Glass and Studio Glass. Lit: Richard Price is a graduate of the famous Gerrit Rietveld Art Academy in Amsterdam, was an assistant to glass artists Lino Taglapietra and Dale Chihuly. Richard Price has received several awards for his work, including the honorary award "World Glass Now of 1991" from the Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art, Sapporo, Japan and the State Prize of Baden-Württemberg for European arts and crafts, Stuttgart, Germany.
