Large vase with white and pink glass threads, Josephinenhütte, c. 1850–60

Large colorless glass vase featuring broad and narrow white and pink threads fused diagonally into the body; circular foot; multi-sectioned, bulbous body with an elongated, wavy rim; base with a polished pontil mark. The vase is in excellent condition, with minor inclusions. Gräflich Schaffgotsch'sche Josephinenhütte; designed by Franz Pohl, c. 1850–60. Height: approx. 38.0 cm; diameter: approx. 17.0 cm.
