Footed beaker with a carved depiction of a horse and a Persian, attributed to Eduard Pelikan

Footed cup made of colorless glass, massive, multi-passage foot, with pink glazed notch cut on the underside, hexagonal faceted shaft, bell-shaped bowl with projecting approach, visible side high-cut pink glazed rectangular field with fine matt and deep cut scene of a grass island with palm trees and a Persian one Holding the stallion by the bridle, with a reduction lens on the back, and a contrasting lip edge. Mug is in the healing state. North Bohemia, probably attributed to the workshop of Eduard Pelikan, around 1840-50. Height: approx. 16.0 cm, diameter: approx. 9.5 cm. Lit. Typical features of the engraver's handwriting by this master are the shaggy manes of the horses and the small leafy twigs that protrude from the lower edge of the terrain islands
