Double-handled vase made of opaque Cyprus glass, Josephinenhütte around 1881-1900.

A handled vase made of transparent, olive-green, thick-walled glass, mold-blown and free-formed, iridescent under steam. Its spherical body features a tapered neck, three attached, ribbed, flared feet, and the body features three three-pronged, attached ear handles. Its thickened, downward-folded rim and the underside of the base have a chipped edge. The vase is in perfect condition. This type of glass was produced by the Josephinenhütte glassworks based on drawings of Roman glasses in the Kunstgewerbemuseum in Breslau and the British Museum in London after excavations in Pompeii.
