Rare lidded cup with transparency and reduction painting, Haida around 1905-10

Large ceremonial cup / lidded cup made of colorless glass, multi-faceted hollow round base, solid faceted double-conical shaft with grooved decoration, short cylindrical cup, wall with transparent and reduction painting in the form of figurative nudes / muses surrounded by flowers and foliage with gold line decoration. Solid faceted and peeled lid with handle. Cup is in intact condition, gold decoration is slightly rubbed in places. Executed by Joh. Oertel & Co. in Haida around 1905-15. Height: approx. 33.5 cm.
