Large lidded cup made of purple glass, solid trumpet-shaped base with nodus, funnel-shaped cup, wall with 6 gold-plated oval medallions, these partially rubbed: decorative depiction of antique figures in internal drawing and needle etching, stepped lid with faceted pointed knob, body with gold line decoration. Cup is in intact condition, with a small bubble on the edge of the lid. Johann Oertel & Co in Haida based on designs from the technical school around 1920-25. Height: approx. 39.0 cm. Lit: Specimens in the Passau Glass Museum, Room 32. These items were exhibited at the World Exhibition in Paris around 1925.
