Lidded box with oriental enamel decoration & gold painting, Julius Mühlhaus, Haida

Lidded box made of colorless glass, hollow stepped round base with shaft node, quatrefoil cup with laced mouth, wall with flat stylized floral decoration in burnished gold and blue opaque enamel, bell-shaped lid with knob, appropriately decorated. Gold-plated base and mouth edge. The lidded cup is in a healthy condition. Julius Mühlhaus & Co, Haida, around 1910. Height approx. 25.0 cm. Lit: R. & D.
