Lidded box made of violet glass with oroplastic decoration, Joh. Oertel, Haida

Lidded box made of black-violet glass, solid, slightly stepped round base, short shaft, bulging body with surrounding oroplatic decoration, "birds between spiral-shaped flower tendrils and gold line decoration", lid with knob, polished base. Lid with original label from the glass refinery's reselling customer. “Sudeten German workmanship GL”. The tin is in intact condition, some of the gold lines are rubbed. Glass refinery Johann Oertel & Co in Haida around 1935-40. Height: approx. 18.0 cm. Diameter: approx. 12.5 cm.
