Grape washer with brass frame and depiction of mascarons, around 1880-1900

Grape washer/grape rinser with a solid brass frame. A trefoil frame depicting grotesque heads, bows, and decorative ornaments. A removable glass insert made of light green, optically ribbed glass with a grape-shaped body. A short neck and polished bowl rim, the latter with minor chips, and a solid cast brass lid with a laurel wreath handle. Germany or Austria, circa 1880-1900. Height: approx. 24.5 cm, diameter: approx. 15.0 cm.
