Small narrow-necked jug made of transparent, olive-green, thick-walled glass, mold-blown and free-formed, steam-glazed, baluster-shaped body with flared rounded base and raised bottom, tubular neck with trefoil-shaped, attached strap handle, cylindrical neck with drawn-out spout, underside with sand erosion and polished base.The jug is in good condition.This type of glass was produced by the Josephinenhütte glassworks for the Ludwig Fellmer company in Mainz, based on designs from drawings of Roman, Frankish, and medieval glass in the Mainz Museum.Josephinenhütte, Schreiberhau, Opal-Cyprus Glass Series, circa 1881-1900, total collection 236 pieces.Height: approx.17.0 cm.Literature: Stefania Zelasko, Josephinenhütte 1900-50, pages 60-61.
