Cup with caricature by Hans Schleichmann, Bakalowits, Vienna around 1900

Beaker made of colorless crystal glass, on the slightly conical side with a printed figurative staffage of people from Viennese life in polychrome transparent enamel with the inscription: "Servus Mad' ln", inscribed H. Schließmann, gold-plated lip rim, solid base, polished base. Beaker is in undamaged condition, wall with slight scratches. Hans Schließmann for Bakalowits & Söhne, Vienna, around 1900. Height: approx. 10.2 cm, diameter at top: approx. 7.2 cm. Lit: Hans Schließmann, 1852 Mainz-1920 Vienna, painter, graphic artist and glass painter, came to Vienna at the age of five, worked for the "Fliegenblätter" and the "Humoristische Blätter", member of the Vienna Künstlerhaus from 1887.
