Pair of bottles with stoppers, oval medallion and polished gold rim, Schorborn around 1770

A pair of clear glass bottles, featuring a club-shaped body with a solid, slightly raised base and a tear-off rim, a tubular neck with a fused rim and burnished gold plating, and a wall with engraved floral decoration in the form of hanging borders. The visible side features a frosted oval medallion with spheres and the US monogram. The matching, teardrop-shaped stoppers feature a pierced air bubble. The bottles are in perfect condition, with one stopper having minor damage to the lower end. Princely Brunswick Glassworks Schorborn, last quarter of the 18th century.
