Conical footed cup made of white alabaster glass, corded wall with spiral-shaped thread with gold painting in the shape of a snake, floral decoration at the head end, warmed and gold-plated lip rim, base with ball at the bottom. Small damage to the inner edge of the mouth, gold decoration rubbed. Count Schaffgotsch'sche Josephinenhütte, design by Franz Pohl, mid-19th century. Height: approx. 12.5 cm, diameter at the top: approx. 8.8 cm. Lit. Glasses of this type were presented at the trade exhibition in Breslau around 1850. Lit: Comparative examples in the Passau Glass Museum, Room 3, Display Case 76. Glasses of this type were also available from the glassworks in Schachtenbach in a slightly different shape.
