Fine wine jug with golden acanthus frieze, Salviati around 1900

Wine jug made of colorless, very fine glass, rising disc base with surrounding rim and base with tear, short stem shaft with beaded ring, baluster-shaped body with tubular neck and curved spout, attached ear handle, cup inside with tear, wall with acanthus leaf frieze in etched polished gold. Foot and mouth edge with polished gold application. The pot is in a healthy condition. Salviati Murano, around 1900-20. Height: approx. 27.5 cm. Lit: Treasures of Venetian glass art, pages 32-37.
